We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic, fashion-forward Part-Time Bridal Consultant who is passionate about helping brides find the dress of their dreams while delivering an exceptional luxury experience.

 

Position Summary

As a Bridal Consultant, you will guide brides through one of the most exciting moments of their lives. You will provide personalized styling advice, create memorable appointments, maintain our boutique presentation, and work alongside our team to achieve sales goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is a sales-focused position. While creating an exceptional bridal experience is always our top priority, our consultants are expected to confidently guide brides through the decision-making process, build excitement, overcome objections professionally, and successfully close sales.

Key Responsibilities

 

Bridal Styling & Sales

  • Welcome every bride and her guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Conduct one-on-one bridal appointments from start to finish.
  • Learn each bride’s vision, style, venue, budget, and wedding plans.
  • Recommend gowns that complement each bride’s personality, style, and body shape.
  • Assist brides into gowns while ensuring their comfort and confidence throughout the appointment.
  • Confidently discuss pricing, designers, ordering timelines, customization options, and alterations.
  • Build excitement throughout the appointment and confidently ask for the sale.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals while maintaining an exceptional client experience.
  • Complete measurements, sales paperwork, deposits, and order documentation accurately.
  • Follow up with brides after appointments when appropriate.

 

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a personalized experience to every bride and her guests.
  • Build genuine relationships that create trust and lasting memories.
  • Handle questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
  • Ensure every bride leaves feeling valued, whether or not she purchases.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

 

Boutique Operations

  • Steam, prepare, and merchandise bridal gowns.
  • Return gowns to their proper locations following appointments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the boutique, fitting rooms, mirrors, and displays.
  • Assist with inventory management and gown arrivals.
  • Prepare gowns for pickup appointments.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the boutique.

 

Administrative Duties

  • Schedule appointments using our booking system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone or email as required.
  • Maintain accurate client records.
  • Process deposits and payments.

 

Team Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with fellow consultants and management.
  • Support teammates during busy appointments and special events.
  • Participate in ongoing product knowledge and sales training.
  • Stay current on bridal trends and designer collections.
  • Assist during trunk shows, sample sales, and boutique events.
  • Represent The Gown Bridal Boutique professionally both in-store and online.
  • As a member of our small team, take initiative, help wherever needed, and contribute to creating a positive and supportive workplace culture.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for fashion, weddings, and styling.
  • Sales-driven with the confidence to guide customers toward making a purchasing decision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional appearance and polished presentation.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with moving bridal gowns.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays.

Compensation

  • $19.50 per hour
  • Employee discount on boutique merchandise.

Availability

This is a part-time position with approximately 15–25 hours per week, including:

  • Days and Evenings
  • Saturdays required
  • Occasionally Sundays during our prom season
  • Additional hours during peak bridal season
